It seems like one of the most common shortcomings of homes is closet space. It makes sense, since most sellers want to make their home look open and spacious, and closets eat into that available space. There are many issues with not having enough closet space, however. It can lead to a more cluttered home when there isn’t anywhere to store things out of sight, or it could require you to get closets installed at quite a cost.

There are some methods you can use before it comes to that, but they all involve some amount of work. One solution is to keep seasonal clothing stored somewhere else, possibly in a storage container in your basement or attic. There are also beds that come with storage underneath them, giving you extra space without taking up any more room. Some have chosen to get a vacuum packing device that will let you compact your clothes that you don’t use that often, or you can get hangers that lets you hang several outfits on a single hook, giving you a little more space.
